The hotel Mercure Warszawa Centrum is close to nailing it at 100 percent on everything. Don´t think I ever have been so positively surprised by a hotel.
We arroved pretty late after a long day at work and a few hours of travel. The trip was planned many months ahead, but this was not our first choice of hotel, mostly because of the price. A few big events in Warsaw this weekend made the price slightly higher than first offered from other hotels. The price was just arounf $85 per night for a double room. Not expensive at all.
– Is it possible to get a really quiet room?
– All our rooms are quiet. No problem!
Not a fact which easily can be confirmed, but it was true - the rooms vere extremly quiet, allthough a main road and railroad tracks just outside.

Sleeping quality? TOP!
We got two double beds in our room, for some reason, which made the room spacious. For us the sleeping quality is our main priority, or concern, whereever we sleep. Very, very good beds! The pillows were a bit strange and small, but the matress was perfect and the room was completely dark during the night. Also the temperature was perfect and no noise at all.
You can not expect anything better than this. The sleeping quality is one of the best we have experienced in a long, long time.
The air conditioner made a bit sound to keep the temperature right, but not too much, We already mentioned the pillows, and a double douvet? No, thanks.
Location
Where is the city centre of Warsaw? This was something we discussed a lot when booking a hotel. Retrospective - we are very satisfied with our choice. Mercure Warszawa Centrum is not located in the middle of all the areas we spent the most of our time, but everything is within walking distance. The hotel has the shopping mall Zlote Tarasy and the train station Warszawa Central / Warszawa Centralna as neighbours. Just down the street you will find Palac Kultury, the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, and just a little longer walk the shopping streets Marszalkowska, Chmielna and Nowy Swiat.
Service and cleaning
The service was mostly adequate, and the room was clean and tidy - but not under the beds. Some plastic bottles were left by former guests. The bathroom was bright, clean and big enough.
We experienced some difficulties when ordering a taxi to the airport. Our travel company counted four adults, with large suitcases. When booking the taxi we told the receptionist we needed a big car. They ordered a normal car, and the driver was put in a very difficult situation which ended with us driving in two separate cars to the airport, and then double price.
Asking the receptionist about the small car, we got this answer:
– All our guests are using this kind of car.
– The driver tells us it is too much luggage for his car.
– Did he try?
A bit arrogant I have to say.
Conclusion:
The hotel normally offers rooms from aroubd $60 per night which is value for money! Some cons about this hotel, but the sleeping quality score is close to 100 percent, and the price taken into consideration, Mercure Warszawa Centrum is highly reccommended. NB! We did not try the breakfast, as we foundt it a bit expensive compared to the price level in Warsaw.
